Additional Background
Anna Ioannou has earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry from the Institute of Psychiatry and Maudsley Hospital in London, UK.
She also completed a Diploma in Family Therapy offered by the Family Therapy Institute at the same hospital.
Anna has worked in public hospitals and private practice the last 36 years.
She trained and worked in the United States, Greece and the United Kingdom and has recently moved her practice to Cyprus. Between 2008 and 2016 she worked in the UK, registered by the British Psychoanalytic Council as a member of the Severnside Institute of Psychotherapy.
She has presented her work and ideas to numerous conferences and seminars and has taught and supervised at different institutions.
Presently Anna is a member of the North Hellenic Psychoanalytic Society, member of the International Federation of Psychoanalytic Societies.
She is also a member of the Cypriot Society of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, a member of the European Federation of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and an allied member of the International Psychoanalytic Association.
Anna has studied Fine Art at the Antwerp Fine Art Academy, Belgium.
She has also received a Master’s degree in Animation from the University of South Wales, UK.
